I DID IT!!!

I passed.  I was so nervous.  I ate the car seat cover.  There was Darwin and and and my friends and CUE!!!  Ohh Cue.

Look at HER!  Just look!  Isn't she so pretty and that tail!  I watched her carefully and I tried to do what she did.  Nana helped a bit but she gets in my way a lot.  She will have to practice some more.

So I get a certificate.  I will try to remember not to eat it.

After the test, we got to play on the playground.  This is me coming out of the tunnel.

Ms Jan.  Cue owns her and she helps me do things right and makes Nana do things right too.  I am a better learner than Nana because I have 4 legs.  Ms Jan teaches agility and Cue can do that too.

This is one of my nice legs.  Get a load of that paw!  Ginger Rodgers and Fred Astaire.  Grandpa!  Lisa!  Benita! We can dance with our paws.   Not Nana.  Too bad Nana, you should go to class.

I am learning!

This is me being Grandpa's lap dog.  I only weighed 66 pounds then but now I am a whopping 72 pounds.  It was kind of funny and I knew that because Nana was laughing while Grandpa was saying something.

I now know what the something was; "No".  and "Down".  There were some other noises but I heard "Whah whah...what whah wha."  It was all dutch to me.

There are my words:  No.  Uhn Uhn. Sit!  Down. Stay.  Round. Out.  Baiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.  That means come.  I hear "Come" too.  BAILEY! means that there is trouble coming.  Come Come.

Today I am going to an exam.  I have to walk nice.  Sit and stay for a long long time.  I have to do the lasso around the poles. I get a piece of paper that I must remember not to eat.  And I get to see CUE!  Yeah CUE.  I love Cue.

The Week of Being Bad

Nana says there are no bad dogs, just bad behavior.  I like that.  I am a good dog who has behaved bad...ly.  I learned a whole bunch of stuff this week.

I learned that if I am not looking at you, you can't see me.  Hee hee this is a good trick.

See?  I am not looking at you.  This is a very nice big chair.  Grandpa usually sits in it and he pulls up the bottom and his feet go there.  He is much taller than me and Nana says he is more handsome.  I don't care though, because I am sitting in his chair and there is nothing he can do about it because he is not home. Heeee heee

Dogs like variety.  I can't sit in the same chair ALL the time.  Besides Toddie gets to sit here.  Toddie got down and I got up and I think I got caught...
Oh oh...

Oops.  I DID get caught.  I can see Nana and she can see me.  I don't understand why Toddie gets to do stuff.  Toddie always gets to do stuff.  Its not fair.

But Toddie is going to the stylist in the morning.  ha Ha Todd...You are going to get fluffy.

My friends!

This is Gabe.  Don't let his pretty looks fool you.  He is one tough cookie and he looks after his girls.  He is a metro-dog and that means he goes to a stylist.  I don't.  I have to just get into the tub.

This is Maggie.  That look in her eyes say ooohhhh Bailey I love you.  Maybe.

You know Toddie.  You saw how pretty Cue is.  I have lots of friends.  If you want to see your friend here you can send it to Nana on her phone.  She is clever and can paste the picture.

Golf!

I live next to the golf course in Sedona.  A golf course is a big big park where people ride around on the sidewalks in little cars carrying bags of sticks with them.  I am NOT supposed to go out on the grass but sometimes I do.  The people hit little white balls BALLS!!! with the sticks to make them fly.  Sometimes the little BALLS!!! get in the dirt and I hear bad words.  This makes my ears go flat.

Sometimes the balls are supposed to fall into a little hole.  Sometimes they are supposed to just fly.  I don't understand which is which or why it is that way.  It is a Scot game so the rules don't matter.

Sometimes the people kick the ball a little bit with their shoes and the ball goes ploop! into the hole.  YEAH!!! Yeah for them.

I have a little white ball too.  I chew it.  :)

I am at work

I have lots of friends at Nana's playroom.  Not everyone comes in to play, but everyone comes so they can pet on me and love on me.

This is my friend.  He has cats.  Sad, but I love him so I forgive him.

This is my friend.  She is a GOOD petter.  ANd she snuggles too.

This is my other friend.  She is building a world.  It is great!

I love the playroom.  I get to play there.  It makes me happy.

Napping

Naps are very important to growing dogs.  I can nap just about anywhere...see?

When I wake up, I stretch and get bigger.  This is great!  I want to get big enough to sit anywhere I want.

Nana says I am not a lap dog.

I am 66 pounds. I am so little, I am only 6 and a little bit and like any baby I loooooooooove to be held.  Nana says I can't sit on her.  That makes me unhappy.

Grandpa said I can't sit on him either...but I tried.
If I get a picture, I will send it to you...but Nana tried but she was laughing too hard at Grandpa.

I like to cuddle.  I am a Love Bug.  Happy Valentine's!

Super Bowl!

I learned on Sunday that a super bowl is not a big big dish of chicken.  It is a game with a BALL!!!  A Ball.  I love balls.

So I watched the ball on the tv.  I know I can't bite the ball because it is not mine and because the tv is flat.  I watch tv sometimes but I don't like it when it gets rough and fighting happens.  It upsets me. Nana turns it off.

But this time - there was a BALL!!! - and our friends the Patriots were playing with their friends called Giants.  The Patriots were winning!  And then they lost.

We are all very sad.  Nana said they would win next year.  Did I tell you that they had a BALL!!!

Todd does not care.  He went to sleep.

We were so sad.

I took a bath!

Sometimes I have to take a bath. I pretend not to like it but I get to use the blue bath tub because I am a boy and there is a special wand that is kind of like a shower and I would drink from it if I could open my mouth wide enough.
See my face?  I am pretending.

When I get out I use 5 towels and I shake like a...wet dog.  And then I run.  I love being all clean and wet and I run. Look at Todd.

I ran him over but said, "sorry".  Todd just stands there.  Why doesn't he move?  Oh yeah, maybe he can't see me coming.  Sorry Todd.

I can move pretty fast, can't I?

I forgot this picture.  Heheee, I look so miserable.  Ha.  I am not.  :)

Until Nana cleaned my ears.  I don't like that.

More birds!

Sometimes Nana takes me and Todd out.  We get to do special visits and I love to do that.  That is when we found this wonderful lady.  She goes very fast in her special chair and I can't sit on her lap.  But LOOK! she has birds.  4 babies in the box.  I sat very quiet so I didn't scare them.

Nana said I was GREAT!  Todd was good too.

I am a workin' dog

These are pictures of me at work.  Well, not this last one...I had a momentary lapse of judgment.
I love the blue porcupine ball.  It took me a while to figure out how to bite it.  It is jiggly and wiggly and makes my lips push up and it makes Nana laugh.

Sometimes I work so hard that I have to take naps.  Naps are great.  I take power naps and then I am up.  My friends like my soft glossy coat.  They pet me and pet me and sometimes they bury their faces into my neck and I sit very still.

Nana says all that she has to do is stay out of my way.  I think all she has to do is go to the store for more treats.  Todd and me are hungry.

The Playroom!

I am growing.  We stopped at Dr. Oler's office and I climbed on the scale and now I weigh 58.7 pounds.  He gave me shots and gave Todd shots and I was ok but Todd is cranky.

So I have to "earn my kibble" is what Nana says.  I am not sure what that means except that my kibble is mine and I have to eat from my bowl.  Todd has his own kibble and I cannot eat out of his bowl.  I can't drink out of his bowl either.  Todd does not share.

I eat.  I like to eat.  I can eat 2 or 3 big scoops a day.  Each of my kibble bags weighs 30 pounds.  That is a lot of kibble.  I gain about 16 pounds per bag of kibble.  That is a lot of math. Good night.

Birds.

I am very fond of birds.  I watch them carefully and I don't ever chase them.  Even the quail are a no no.  I don't understand the birds though.  I wish I could fly.

There is an airport close to where I live and sometimes very large birds fly over.  They make a noise like my car so they might not be birds.  I don't bother to try and jump for them.
Birds are for watching.

I am growing up!

This is where I USED to sleep at night.  I didn't like it.  I had a nice blanket and stuff but Todd would walk around and sniff and I felt bad.  I am not a bad dog and I wanted to be free like Todd.  So I made a plan.

Nana says I need a routine.  So every night at 10, she lets me and Todd go outside.  She sniffs the air just in case the javalinas are there (oweee yuck, do they smell bad.  Bad).  Then we go on outside to do our business.  Then inside to bed, me to the crate and Todd to sleep in the bed with Nana.  Not fair.

So when I went outside I flopped down and played dead.  Nana came down the stairs in a hurrrrreee.  Haha, I had her.  Then she told me to get up.  I wagged my tail once to let her know that I was ok but intended to stay there.  She then went and got the leash and I went to bed in my crate.

The next night at 10, I flopped down on the sidewalk and played dead.  Nana said, "Oh No Bailey, nononoooo, up you get."  I wagged my tail twice.  She went and got the leash.
But I was ready this time.  I flopped inside the door.
Nana laughed and I knew that I had won.  She took off the leash and I slept by the door. Cooooool.
Toddie still slept on her bed.

You can't win them all!

This is my school yard

This is where I go to school.  It is very pretty and there are other dogs there who do something called "Agility Training".  The people who own the school yard are very nice to let us play here and we try to be responsible citizens.

Now I go to school!

Nana decided that I needed to learn to read and write.  Nah, I am just kidding, I am a dog. I don't have oppossible thumbs.

Ms Jan Tomlinson is my teacher.  I love Ms. Jan and Cue too.  I am the Beautiful Dog next to her.  Although, Cue is pretty too.  Ms Jan is very good at teaching us to be obedient and kind. We have learned to sit, and stand and lay down, walk nice, don't pull out Nana's arm, do "puppy push-ups", and to not fraternise with the other dogs when we are supposed to pay attention.  I learned that I love treats and that I don't eat as much on Wednesdays as I do on Tuesdays.

I go to school on Tuesdays and I get lots of treats.

I thought Cue was spelt "Q" like on 007 because she was so clever.  She is not an 007 dog but she IS clever.

I am home now!

When we got home, Nana decided that I needed a few things.  I like shopping but I had to stay home.  I got locked up because, well, I am a puppy.

I got a new collar and new leash.

THEN I got to meet my new doctor.  I love my new doctor, Dr. Jerry Oler.  If I could talk I would call him Dr. Jerry but I can't talk.
I went to see Dr. Jerry and he weighed me and I weighed 44 pounds.  I am a big baby.  He gave me a good looking over and from tip of my nose to the tip of my tail he said I am in great shape.
Thanks Dr. Oler!  You are the best!
